Chief of Party – Dr. Josephine Ngozi Ogazi
Josephine Ogazi is a Nigerian development professional with more than 22 years of experience in international development related to Quality Improvement methodologies, HIV/AIDS OVC programming, prevention, capacity building of local NGOs, agricultural development, and volunteer technical assistance programs.

She possesses over 15 years of direct senior management experience overseeing USAID development in Nigeria. She has worked for several USG implementing partners such as University Research Co. LLC (URC) and Winrock International. Other donors she has worked for include DFiD, ECOWAS, and CIDA. Her wealth of expertise and experience extends to the areas of Agriculture, Gender, and Public Private Partnerships.

Josephine possess a Ph.D. Agronomy 2003, M.Sc. Agronomy, 1994 and B.Sc. (Hon.) Chemistry, 1990 all from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Deputy Chief of Party / Director, Program – Mr. Olusola Adewale Onifade

Olusola (Sola) Onifade has 23 years’ experience in health and development. Within this period, Sola worked with local, international (British and US) NGOs before joining USAID in 2011 as Program Manager, Orphans and Vulnerable Children.

Sola worked in an expatriate position as Community Care and Orphans and Vulnerable Children Advisor with USAID Malawi. Sola has worked with Adolescents, women and children, in areas of reproductive health project, economic empowerment, HIV prevention, education, care and support and Malaria wherein he participated in various research and evaluation activities.

Olusola has a Masters of Public Health (MPH) in Health and Promotion from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a certificate in Reproductive Health and Family Planning Program Management from Cardiff University of Wales, United Kingdom and a B.Sc. in Zoology from University of Ibadan. Sola has attended a number of international and national trainings and conferences in OVC, proposal development, strategic leadership, management, organizational development, malaria programming, women empowerment, system strengthening.

Sola enjoys writing, watching football and reading. He joined WEWE on LOPIN-2 as substantive DCOP/PD in February 2017.

 

Director, Monitoring & Evaluation – Dr. Charles Uzondu

Dr. Charles Uzondu is a Nigerian healthcare scientist and development professional with over 17 years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, 10 of these years were spent on projects funded by USAID, DFID, Global Fund, German Embassy in Nigeria.

Dr. Uzondu is a trained Epidemiologist, Operations Research Scientist, and M&E Specialist. Before joining WEWE LOPIN, he was the Operational Research Coordinator in Save the Children/DFID Partnership for Reviving Routine Immunization in Northern Nigeria (PRRINNMNCH) Maternal Newborn and Child Health Program.  Dr. Uzondu possesses extensive experience in HIV/AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, and Reproductive Health.

He has a Ph.D. Epidemiology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, 2006, MPH (Health Education & Promotion), University of Ibadan, 1996, and B.Sc. (Hon) Microbiology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria, 1976.

 

Quality Improvement Director – Miss Ngozi Orame

Miss Orame has about 12 years of experience in OVC programming and monitoring and evaluation. Previously, Ms. Orame was M&E and Knowledge Management Advisor for University Research Co. on the Applying Science to Strengthening and Improving System (ASSIST) project. Other USAID funded projects she has worked in include the Children of Hope Project implemented by EUCORD and WEWE, SUCCOUR project implemented by the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria. Ngozi has extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS, institutional capacity building and community mobilization. Ngozi is a member of M&E National Technical Working group.

She holds a Master’s degree in Cooperative Economics and Management from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Imo State University and a Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State.
