PwC Presentation of Audit Report to WEWE Board of Trustees members and Management Staff

In line with USAID-funded LOPIN-2 project cooperative agreement, WEWE-LOPIN2 has conducted it first recipient contracted audit covering a period eighteen months (July, 2014- December-2015).

The audit was conducted by one of the reputable audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria recommended by USAID Nigeria and lasted for three months, (July – September, 2016). The purpose was to express an opinion whether the fund accountability statement are presented fairly, in all material respect, in accordance with U.S Government Auditing Standard issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.

Overall the audit process went successful, and PwC opinion is that, “fund accountability statement of WEWE for the period of July 2014-to December 2015 in all material respect, in accordance with the terms and agreement in conformity with the basis of accounting”.
